BLUEWATER HEALTH WITHDRAWAL CLINIC

Sarnia was in need of a 24/7 residential facility where individuals with addictions could get the withdrawal management services and support they needed here in their own community. No such facility currently existed so Sarnia residents seeking withdrawal treatment had to travel to London and Windsor.

In May 2014, working closely with Mayor Mike Bradley and the Bluewater Health fundraising committee, The Judith & Norman Alix Foundation committed $1,000,000 to the building of the withdrawal clinic. The money will be used to create a 16-bed facility.
