The Judith & Norman Alix Foundation supports capital projects that will have a positive impact on the people and communities in Lambton County. Within this framework, we focus our investments in organizations based on the following three criteria
Funding is open to registered charities and municipalities in Lambton County. If you're not a registered charity, you can apply by partnering with one locally and submitting a joint request.
Funding requests must be for capital projects only. Proposals seeking operating funds or ongoing program expenses will not be considered.
Projects must demonstrate a clear and meaningful benefit to the broader Lambton County community, contributing to the well-being and enrichment of local residents.

Important Update – 2026 Application Intake Information
Our 2026 application intake period starts on February 1st, 2026. The application submission deadline is Friday, May 1, 2026, by 4:00 PM EST.
There is one application intake period annually for new grant requests. Applications must be submitted by 4:00 PM on the application submission deadline date to be eligible for consideration within the intake period.
Regardless, the Foundation reserves the right to consider grant applications outside the regular funding cycle at its own discretion.
No, the foundation only supports eligible registered charitable organizations. Applicants could consider partnering with a charitable organization that supports the project and capable of channeling the funds to the project.
No, primarily due to the idea that these projects typically benefit the members of the school or church and not the community at large. Our foundation strives to support capital projects that serve & benefit as many residents as possible in Lambton County.
We don't typically specify an annual application funding limit. If grant applications of $500,000 or more are received, we may reach out for additional details. Our goal is to learn as much as we can about the exciting capital projects that are being planned in our community and how our Foundation can possibly help.
